UU Parent Group Meeting
TODAY, Friday, October 10th, at 6:00pm, Rev. Laura will facilitate the group discussion. This is a casual gathering of parents/guardians and children. Creating Balance with Healthy Choices
TODAY, Friday, October 10th,is the last day to RSVP for these classes to be held Sundays, Oct 12-Nov 16, 6:30-8:00pm, CUUF Sanctuary.
Instructor – Lori Nitchals, RN, Parish Nurse
What – This is a 6-week class created by Lori. The goal of this class is to build intentionally healthy lifestyle habits. You will learn how to design your own unique self care plan with realistic, attainable goals. Lori will draw from several sources including Ayurvedic principles, mindfulness meditation, and her nursing background. After the classes, participants may join the alumni of previous classes at the monthly potluck/support group. A minimum of eight participants is needed. Each session builds upon the previous session, but if you miss a session, you can contact Lori for the materials. To pre-register, or if you have any questions, please email Lori.
Presentation for Medicare & Supplements to Medicare
Dick Anderson will present a 20-minute overview of Medicare and supplements to Medicare, including programs that help pay Medicare costs, and Extra Help with prescription drugs. He will also have printed materials you may take with you. Dick has been a volunteer health insurance counselor for seven years in Wenatchee and does not sell anything, ever.
Caring for the Caregiver Meetings
Beginning Monday, October 13th, at 6:30pm, Lori Nitchals, RN, Parish Nurse will facilitate the group discussion in the sanctuary. These meetings are intended to be supportive for those directly involved with providing long-term care for friends and relatives.
Lunch with the Minister
This Wednesday, October 15th, Rev. Laura will be hosting a noon drop-in lunch discussion. This lunch is for people wanting to talk with her about Unitarian Universalism, this congregation, to learn more about Rev. Laura, or other interests you may have.
Unitarian Universalist History Class
This Thursday, October 16th, at noon, Rev. Laura will facilitate a drop-in class to explore the theme of “Reformation.”
Community Service Project Donations
We need fleece fabric. Our community service project for October will be fleece blankets to benefit the Women’s Resource Center. If you have large pieces of fleece material that you would be willing to donate, then please contact Rev. Laura at 881-9658 or minister@cascadeuu.org. We are looking to make twin size blankets.

Are you interested in Worship and how it is created? Join us for a meeting on Sunday, October 12th at 1:30pm at CUUF to be part of the creation. This is for storytellers, musicians, worship leaders, and all interested.

We are packing for 17 children from the Rock Island school this year. We always have a need for buyers to help stock our pantry. Purchases can be a donation or you can be reimbursed.
