Imagery of Good/Evil

We are exposed to images of good and evil throughout our lives. How do these images inform our own ideas? How do the images reinforce differences in our society? We will explore these ideas through popular media and reflect on their influence in our lives.

Accepting the Consequences

The hardest part of being adult is accepting the consequences of our actions or behavior. How do we do this gracefully? How does this affect our ability to be in community?

Radical Acceptance

What happens if we decide to accept ourselves for who we are? What paths to joy and compassion open up? Let’s explore how radical we dare to be.

Accepting Impermanence

We crave for our lives to be stable and consistent. However, it very rarely cooperates. Buddhism tells us this is the cause of our suffering. What happens when we decide to accept life is full of change and impermanence? Will our suffering end?

Where There is Smoke, There is Fire

British Statesman, Benjamin Disraeli states, “Courage is fire, and bullying is smoke.” How can we have courage when facing a bully? Let’s explore how to build a fire of resistance.

Courage: An Inner Resolution

Rev Dr Martin Luther King, Jr reminds us courage is an inner resolution to do right in the world. However, what is right and how do we find that inner strength to promote good.
